A successful presentation of the factory of Sarantis Group located in the area of Oinofyta at Viotia, was held on Thursday December 13th during which both the investors and the partners of the company had the chance to see the Group’s factory.
The event included a tour in the Group’s production premises and distribution center guided by Mr. Dimitris Papanikolaou, Group Supply Chain Director, Mr. Ilias Filippou, Technical Director of the factory, and Ms. Katia Georgoulaki, Group Logistics & Supply Chain Projects Director. The tour followed a briefing on the 9M 2007 results held by Mr. Konstantinos Rozakeas, Chief Financial Officer of the Group.
Located in a 40,000 sq.m. site, the factory and the distribution center take up 10,000 and 15,000 sq.m. respectively. The factory in Oinofyta serves not only the Greek market but also the foreign markets where the Group operates. Besides that, the Group operates another factory in Poland which serves the local market and some neighboring countries. The factory operates with modern infrastructure technologies using renewable energy sources and natural gas, whereas it also complies fully with the existing legislation on quality assurance and security issues by using the most advanced systems. It is worth to note that this year the production capacity of the factory amounts to 17 mil. items in cosmetics and 20 mil. items in household products. It is also worth mentioning that the average production capacity amounts to 70 – 75%, whereas the production itself can be increased up to 40 mil. items for the cosmetics, without any major investment, thanks to the significant flexibility offered by the advanced production systems used.
It is reminded that the Group’s own product portfolio includes the fragrances STR8, C-THRU, BU, MUSTANG, the sun-care product series CARROTEN, the ORZENE shampoos and the household product brands SANITAS, FINO, CAMEL, etc. It is worth to mention that part of the Group’s strategy is to reinforce its position in the markets it operates through further development of its own brand portfolio.
